Here you'll find our latest opening times and when we come together for worship.

Opening Times

Due to the impact of Covid-19, sadly the church is not able to be open daily as we would wish.

The church is normally open for Private Prayer on Wednesdays and Sundays from 12 midday to 4 pm. Following recent advice from the government regarding lockdown measures, there is currently no public worship taking place.

Please adhere to social distancing, use facemasks and hand sanitiser whilst in the church.

These times are subject to change depending upon the latest government and Church of England guidance and the need to clean the church and make it ready for other services such as weddings and funerals.

Thank you for your co-operation and understanding.

Frequently Asked Questions

There will be some changes to how we run our weekly Worship and we've put together some frequently asked questions on the new routines.

Upon arrival, you will be asked to confirm your name and contact details. This is in order to support the NHS Track and Trace system

Worshippers are asked to arrive at Church using the Church path from Bosham Lane. You are asked to queue at the South Door, respecting 2 metres social distancing. Once inside the Church, use the hand sanitiser and a sides person will take you to your seats. Routing inside the Church will follow a one-way system clearly marked and seating has been organised to respect of social distancing measures.

If possible, please let us know in advance if you require wheelchair access or pushchair/pram, where your entry will be through the North door.

We regret that in the case of poor weather the need to maintain a social distance whilst queuing means that parishioners waiting outside will not be able to come in for shelter.

Some changes to our services have been made in response to the Government’s guidance and direction for Churches from the Church of England. These changes include:

Communion will be one-kind (wafer only) and should be received in silence.

Prayer books will not be provided, but you will find a pew sheet with the Order of Service on your seat which we ask you to take away with you.

The Peace – there will be no physical contact permitted.

Congregation responses should be spoken quietly.

We strongly advise you when visiting to wear face coverings. Our sides persons are also wearing face coverings. A number of face coverings will be available for those that have forgotten to bring them. Please remember, face coverings are mainly intended to protect other people, not the wearer, from coronavirus (COVID-19) and that they are not a replacement for physical distancing and regular hand washing.

Singing is not permitted, but the organ will be played.

No collections – contactless & QR code available (see pew booklet).

Leaving in a socially distanced manner at the close of the service, using the one-way system to exit via the North door and not congregating on the premises.

Toilets will not be open for general use.

While we welcome families to attend church, there is currently no Junior Church and we are unable to provide children’s toys and books under the current government Covid guidance.

When visiting, please follow the Government’s guidance, which includes:

If you or a member of your household is unwell, stay at home
Practice social distancing (at least 2 metres)
Avoid unnecessary contact
Follow specific Government Guidance for the over 70s/the clinically vulnerable.
