This year will be an exciting year for us here at Holy Trinity Bosham. As mentioned in the recent ‘Room for Growth’ update, will need to replace the church boilers.
However, in response to our consultations both in the parish and with the statutory consultees, the PCC Parochial Church Council have decided to embrace the opportunity to improve the visual appearance of the boiler room and, at the same time, provide some much-needed useable space.
It will also give us an opportunity to create a lasting memorial for those whose ashes are buried to the north of the church. There will be a new window, memorial plaque and seat, for which we hope to attract additional funding, in memoriam or thanksgiving.
The new room will be accessed from the sacristy, through an existing door which has been blocked up. An application has been submitted to the local planning authority and another will be submitted, in due course, to the Diocesan Advisory Committee. We believe that these proposals not only respect the historic fabric, but will enhance it for present and future generations.
We welcome your comments and support, so do look at the display in church and also at the Chichester District Council planning portal.
May the Lord add His blessings to our efforts.
